The continuous interaction with the jewellery sector and other industries, the need to test various applications of innovative materials or technologies brought me towards scientific research.
Technology transfer and interdisciplinary competences acquired in the most recent years allow me to coordinate EU projects. Projects funded by the European Commission are not limited to the jewellery industry, reaching out to other related areas of interest such as cultural heritage, socio-economic development, enhancement of cultural resources, authentication of precious artifacts.
Since 1998 I have been Chairman of the Board of the thematic network European Jewellery Technology Network (EJTN-GEIE), the European Economic Interest Group through which I coordinate projects, UNDP (United Nations Development Programme) Technology Transfer expert, technical consultant for Europeaid (EU External Cooperation Programme), evaluator with the European Commission, Consultant for the PROMOS Agency of the Milan Chamber of Commerce, lecturer at the Milano Bicocca University for the Jewellery Science and Technology Degree.
Among the most recent projects I have coordinated, AUTHENTICO addresses in fact this last theme, authentication. The publication produced at project completion can be downloaded free-of-charge from the link on the right and from the European Commission website
